We recommend having your extensions moved up every six to eight weeks to protect the integrity of your scalp. On occasion, we have some guests who make it to the ten week mark, but that depends on your natural density and how well you take care of it between appointments.

How many rows and wefts you need for a specific look is different for every person and is based on your starting length/density and what your end goal is. For most guests, we want to see your hair to your shoulders, but it really depends on what your goals are and your density of hair. At minimum, your shortest lay must be to your chin in the front and occipital bone in the back to ensure your wefts don't show. At Great Hair Day, we know there are exceptions to most rules but our number one goal is to make sure no one ever knows you're wearing extensions. If your hair doesn't meet the above standards, we still encourage you to fill out our consultation form and we'd be more than happy to chat with you about your specific solution(s).

You sure can. If you're going to be highly active or swimming, we suggest a loose braid or ponytail to prevent any tangling. Don't worry, we'll provide you with all the aftercare information (both written and video instructions) you'll need to take care of your extensions, regardless of your lifestyle.

Nope. At Great Hair day, we create a completely seamless blend between your natural hair and the extension hair (that's why we color your hair at every visit). We've been trained to strategically conceal all beads so no one ever knows you're wearing extensions, even when it's pulled up.
