Proper Care
Caring for your hair is easy. Hair products should be treated as an investment that you want looking new and fresh for as long as possible. Proper care and maintenance will allow you to continue using the products with the best results for the longest period of time. The following instructions are meant to help you with the care of your hair products, but do not guarantee results.
Just like your own hair, synthetic hair will accumulate residue through normal wear. However, you do not need to wash the synthetic hair every day to keep consistent results. It's NOT real hair! The fiber should be washed as infrequently as possible or when you notice the fiber appears dull. If you are wearing the hair all day every day, you can wash them after 4-6 uses. Remember, over-doing it isn't good either. Fibers wear out like clothes that get washed too often... once it's worn, you cannot make it new again.
In between shampoos, you may use our spray in condioner on your hair products. We suggest to lightly spray the hair after every 2-3 uses unless you are wearing the hair every day all day long. If you are doing this, you may "lightly" spray after each use. Follow the instructions on the bottle.
- Before shampooing with our product, gently remove any tangles with your fingers or with a plastic wide-toothed comb. Do not use a brush at any time with synthetic hair products.
- Add one capful of the Studio Hair shampoo to a sinkful of 'cold' water. (never use hot water)
- Immerse hair and soak 3-5 minutes, then gently swish up and down. Do not rub or pull.
- Rinse thoroughly twice in cold water.
- Dab gently with a towel to remove excess water. Do not squeeze or twist.
- Let it air dry overnight.
- When dried completely, spray with our spray in conditioner that is specifically formulated for synthetic hair products. Again, do not add too much product.
- Style with fingers or use a wide-tooth comb.
Do NOT use hair dryer, blow dryer or curling irons on synthetic hair. Avoid excess heat. Do not brush or comb while hair is wet.
Hair products can be stored in a plastic bag.
